Im financially comfortable, but i have spare time a few evenings a week and wouldn't mind using this time to make a little extra to put towards a holiday/ car/ clothes etc. preferebly something while i can do from home while mrs is watching her telly.

Depends what you can do. Mrs t_m is a good skier. Just before Christmas she got a job at our local slope. Makes about £100 per week for about 12 hours work.

Oddly enough the Mrs is against that idea!

I used to repair cameras and phones etc if a screen had broke or part wasn't working, but these sort of electronics have dropped in value and the margin isn't really there when a replacement part can cost £10-£15
I'm handy on a PC, my brother in law occasionally gets me to do work on spread sheets, basic data entry/info gathering stuff for his construction firm, but this is very infrequent work.
I'm good at mechanics but have done it for years and don't have an interest in it any more.

I'm attracted to buying a raw material, processing it and selling it at a higher value.

do you have any old clutter that you no longer need/use?
This could be a quick way of making some extra cash.

+ it would be seen as tidying up so brownie points as well... wink

Mystery shopping for cars.

£20/visit, you can fit 3/4 visits into a day easily at the weekend and its quite fun winding up the sales guys.

Most franchises don't want mystery shopping done at the weekend so that might knock this idea on the head.

But the good news is that unless you are very good at the job or you get the new boy/trainee, the majority of experienced salesmen can spot a mystery shop a mile off so although it won't affect you, you'll basically be getting paid for wasting his time.

"Massive boot isn't it sir? A lot of my customers have said its a mystery how much shopping they can actually get in there,"

I only do my mystery shopping in dealerships at the weekend, never been a problem.

I've had Sales Managers pushing hard to sell me a car, so unless they are bored or running out their resignation period, they don't spot me as a MS.

I did effectively get thrown out of Mercedes-Benz Chelsea once though. When I asked what they could do with the final price on a C-Class, the Sales guy sneered down his nose and said "You do realise where you are, Sir? Our customers don't ask for discount, this is the premiere Mercedes dealership in the world." (I tried hard not laughing at this one). When I pressed a bit harder for their 'best price', he got up from the desk and left. I presumed he's gone to talk to the Sales Manager, but after about 5 minutes I spotted him drinking coffee with a colleague, so I left!

Matched Betting - do it from the comfort of your lounge sat along side the missus.

£100 quid investment to get you started you'll do £2k profit in 6 months easily.

Done properly it really is risk free.

Only risk free if you rinse the opening offers and reload promotions from each bookie. I managed £3k in profit before I ran out of bookies and offers.

Yeah that's what I'm suggesting

How does that work then? Do they give you a list of dealerships to visit near you.

Is it a case of you could reliably visit 3-4 dealerships on a Saturday and Sunday on a weekly basis or is the work more infrequent than that? I'd happily give up my Sundays if I could reliably bring in £60-80 for a spot of window shopping.

Read all about it on the link.

You choose the dealerships from a list of those available.

From the £500 challenge thread, fixing broken Dysons can be quite good pocketmoney.

I spent about a month prepping and getting my ideas together, and then writing a website.

I outsource my work too, so I just receive the money via paypal, and send an email - and this bit has now been automated.
I'm intrigued. Without giving your game away (unless you want to! smile ), can I ask you to expand a little? How you found the right outsourcing & how you automate that with Paypal?
