Hi guys,

Can anyone recommend me a reputable garage that won't charge the earth to get some lowering springs fitted to an Audi A3. Preferably in the Cardiff / Bridgend / Barry / Ponty area. Will travel further afield though.

Much appreciated!

I generally use the nice people at Bayside Garage http://www.baysidegarage-cardiff.co.uk in Cardiff.

They do not specialise in any marque, only charge around £50p/h for labour and have done lots of work/MOTs on my cars. They also run a track car at Llandow so we often have a good chat. Started using them as close to my work, but have been pleasantly surprised.

I also use Three Arches in Llanishen http://www.threearchesservices.co.uk for any specialist work on my Subaru as Dean helps alot through the Subaru forums and they have a great reputation.

I've also had mobile mechanics come to my house to do some jobs - much cheaper hourly fees, plus I can lend a hand and learn some skills along the way.

If its just lowering springs though, even on an Audi, any small garage should be able to manage it. Just speak to your cheapest local independent garage. I'm sure we will all have our own favourite garages that we trust, so I'd begin getting to know yours...

PS. Welcome. Get some pics of your car up smile

Several mates have been using these for years, and speak highly of them. http://www.euro-performance.co.uk/index.html

They are really really good. Used them for cambelt and services on my old A6 and they provided a full detailed report and very practical advice. No hard sell or trickery!
