Went to have a look at the above vehicle today, all looked good, but on the test run I noticed that the gearbox sort of lurched when changing out of first I to second gear, tried a few times and the same every time.
Is there a known problem here, or is it an easy fix.
PS it was auto!
Just thought of another question, should the AWD se spec have sat nav, or was this an option.

They are not known for lurching through the gears unless you are flooring the living st out of the throttle pedal - may need a simple oil change, may have bigger problems. Also the Haldex system needs oils changes at least every 40k - In my opinion, save yourself the worry and walk away and find another. No idea on Sat Nav - best guess is it was an option on a 2005 model - I know the standard SE spec doesn't have it - The system is a pile of ste anyway

I did, ( walk away that is ), just too risky, although it would have come with a 3month warranty, so maybe might have been covered.
Trouble with the v50 t5, is that they are few and far between, even more scarce if you want the awd version.
I've already owned a t5 and thought it was a bit of a wolf in sheeps clothing, plus it's quite practical as well.

Unlikely existing known faults would be covered

Top engine mounts (mainly the one on the driver's side) can go on these causing jolting low gearchanges on manuals so could possibly have gone on an auto if it feels like you are getting lots of driveline shunt.
