Right I know this isn't a VG topic as it is more music based but I thought it'd get a better reception here than the music section.
The music in games now has grown to the point where it is arguably much better than the music in the no.1 box office movie due to the popularity and obvious financial backing that these guys now have.
There are songs from games which give me goose bumps! Particularly the likes of an end once and for all from mass effect 3 and I can’t remember the title but the piano song from Halo. They’re my personal favourites.
I also really enjoy the music from the latest Assassin’s Creed game.

What are your favourite songs from games?

Alan Wake for XBox 360 left a permanent marker in my brain. The music was atmospheric and perfectly implemented into the game, utter genius. Give me shivers just thinking of it (might play it tonight to remind myself).

Loved the music in Gotham Racing games for XBox 360 and also in the new Forza Horizon 2.

Dungeon Hunter 4's music is quite good, especially considering it's on a phone and most people think of phone games being Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja and other naff games. (DH4 is a Diablo-like RPG game.)

The first piece is what you hear while the game is loading: http://youtu.be/zG8dVhNHijI

Mass effect is a great shout - the whole series has a great soundtrack.

I also loved a few scenes of GTA V - some of the music choices in that were superb.

Minecraft theme - reminds me of lazy rain soaked sundays, with nothing better to do, but build a castle in the sky!

An end once and for all - ME3, loads of other good soundtracks with the ME series but ME3 had an excellent music score.

The ocean on his shoulders - Bioshock fits perfectly with the game

Halo Series is my favourite. Hans Zimmer did the score for MW2 which was pretty good too.

If you've not played it, pick it up for the insanity and the cut scenes.
The fact that it's got an incredibly well judged and polished fighting mechanic and is a bloody good game is a bonus.

Most games would have your character running along the side of a falling clock tower kicking the crap out of hordes of angels as the finale.
Bayonetta has it as the very first level....

Don't have a decent console. Maybe it'll come out on Android sometime.
