I've had my Xbox 360 since release, only use it a couple of time a week for GTA, COD, Fifa & Forza.

Those of you that have made the upgrade, do you feel it was worth while/a big upgrade compared to the 360?

Can't decide whether to get one now or wait another year until they're half the price?

Thanks

I have the same dilemma, and randomly, the only games I play are GTA, COD, Fifa & Forza.

The only reason I can think of wanting to upgrade is for Forza 5.

Also, some games that are released on 360 and One don't have all the features on the 360. For example, Forza Horizon 2.

I recently upgraded to an Xbox one. Its better than the 360 in every way, both graphically, ease of use, flexibility & functionality wise.

The only issue at the moment is the games selection is pretty spartan. I have seen some stats around my usage of the XB1 and its pretty telling that I use it more for Netflix / Amazon Prime than I have actually playing games.

However 2014 appears to have been a pretty crap year for gaming - there are however some interesting titles slated for this year that should hopefully change things.

I held onto my 360 whilst all my mates went to an Xb1 - mainly as there were so many great games available for it and as the system is now in decline all at heavily reduced prices. Personally I wouldn't really bother until mid 2015 when there maybe some better titles to play.

I wouldn't bother buying an Xb1 for Forza 5, its a terrible game.

I havnt made the swap as it refuses to break.
Only reason I might swap would be the Halo Masterchef Collection...
Oh and HDMI.

I still have my 360 but once I got a Xbox 1 I never looked back. So now my daughter has the 360 and is finding the fun in console gaming using it for Minecraft and now Halo 4

would I suggest getting a Xbox 1. yes. and glad I have

I had the same dilemma last year and chose to wait until the prices fell. Then the girlfriend decided to surprise me with one for my birthday in July and I wish I'd bought one sooner. Forza 5 is pretty good, not amazing but still worth buying. I played GTA V on the 360 a lot and it's even better on the One - still my main 'go to' game. COD:AW is decent although that series has been in decline for years now.

The machine is much faster and quieter, and the graphics are a huge step up from the 360. Also loads of great little features that improve the overall experience.

Its not that bad, just not as good as 4. Light in content certainly. Forza Horizon 2 is very good, way better than the 360 version, and Project Cars is coming soon. GTA V is way better on the 1,and Sunset Overdrive looks fun, although I dont have it.
Graphics are much better, I would say its worth it

I'd be highly surprised if either next gen machine is half their current price any time soon.

I've umm'd and ahh'd about xbox one.

figured that most of the games I play are driving, space and FPS. Built a gaming pc instead. didn't cost me much more a I had a few nice parts lying around (SSD, ram and PSU).

I now have something spectacular in comparison to a console - especially as there aren't many games out for the One yet......

I'm sticking with the 360 and going back over games I missed that cost next to nothing. NBA Jam is getting a good thrashing at the moment.

There are so many out there. XBL has a few offers now and then but looking on eBay or Game shows up lots of classics.

I quite fancy going back to Test Drive Unlimited.

I upgraded and really only play Battlefield 4 and I swear it was a better game on the 360. It obviously is visually better on the one, but I swear the servers can't handle the load on them.

Very rarely would I have issues with online play on the 360 but now it is almost unplayable for me, and for myself who refers to it as my battlefield box it's pretty poor

The Xbox One has already had numerous price cuts and offers over the last year.

But its nowhere near half the price it was is it ? and they've only cut the price to increase sales, which are lagging in comparison to PS4

Either console getting near £200 is not going to happen any time soon, let alone them being half their current price.

I replaced my 360 with a one last year and it's not worth the upgrade in my opinion, plus I've had to do numerous re-boots on mine due to games mot loading or hanging up.

Re the price, anyone noticed the 360's prices have actually gone up slightly since the XB1 came out? When I walk into my local Game there's 3-4 shelves of 360 games and 1 shelf for the xbone.

Its worth buying but don't part with the 360 just yet.

I'm sticking with my 360 for now, still got a big backlog and second hand games are verfy cheap now (enjoy that whilst you still can, it's the last generation where it will be realistically possible)
