Interior Oak door help
Discussion
OK peeps, looking to replace all of my internal doors. I had them done a couple of years back using Oak laminated doors from Howdens and whilst I was very happy with them when they first turned up once they had been given a few coats of Sikkens they turned a horrible glossy orange colour. I want a natural oiled finish.....apparently you cannot use oils or lacquers on laminates.
So, I am trying again, this time we are replacing all of the casings and skirting with solid Oak with an oiled finish:
What I now need is doors to match, a mix of solid and glazed as well as a pair of bi-folds. I like this design:
So how can I get these in an oiled matt finish?

We have oiled engineered oak doors from the local timber company in our house, same design as above (called Suffolk) - never had a problem with them looking anything other than a natural, matt finish (done with Osmo Polyx oil, two coats sparingly then gently rubbed down with 320 grit paper).
Solid door costs, in the numbers we needed them made me wince.
Got ours from here http://www.flooringanddoors.co.uk/doors/internal/s...
Bad iPhone pic taken just now:-

Hi Tuffer,
A bit off topic, but what colour is your wall?
thanks
I bloody knew someone would ask that, Wife chose it and I must say it's turned out to be perfect. Its Little Green paints, Slaked Lime Mid. A bit off topic, but what colour is your wall?
thanks
I want to try that with the wood flooring that's already in place.
