Wonder if newspaper editors are now digging up old stories on him they never got round to printing. You can't libel the dead and all that.

He gave a speech and awarded the prizes at my school prize giving ceremony when I was about 15 I think. I didn't win anything.

Blimey, you guys didn't take long to lay into him! I'd expected some fawning from PH at the passing of a senior figure from the Thatcher years.

There's been no obvious shortage of senior politicians praising him in the media this afternoon.

Hopefully we'll see if there is a case to be made against him if ever this historic abuse enquiry ever gets off the ground.

After Jeremy Thorpe's passing the beeb aired a documentary they'd sat on, detailing some of Thorpe's known misdemeanours which were never publicised while he was alive.

Perhaps they'll do the same for 'Latvian Leon'.

Those cupboards, they have a remarkable capacity for skeletons.
