No cinema room. Got a family room in the house already.

A games room and a gym are plenty of space given up I could have put more cars in thanks.

All the brick is to full height now. Steels for the roof next.

Nearly roof time. Four 4 post lifts ordered today plus oak garage doors, oak/glass bi folding doors, oak posts for the overhang and oak stable door for the pedestrian door.

What colour lifts did you decide on?

All black Danny. The steels in the roof will be black, and exposed, too. Ive had one of these lifts (in red and yellow) in my main garage for a couple of years now and it hasn't missed a beat. My 458 Spider is sat on it now with my GT3RS underneath so I must trust it! Sam who owns the company is a top man. Single phase too.

Just to sound a note of caution, but are the lifts certified to have cars stored under them?
I know everyone does so without problem, but from an insurance perspective would you be covered if anything failed and the rs got squished. To not get paid out would REALLY hurt!!!

Yup. I have one policy for all the cars and they know where, under what and on what they are stored. I leave nowt to chance.

Plus 2 years of storing cars on and under the one I have gives me more confidence than any certification.

I agree, the reclaimed bricks do look good. How many have you used? Must have cost a fortune!?

Thats interesting. I recently built a garage with red mix reclaims, x4000 ~ £6000. I've noticed that even since last year brick prices have gone up.

This is some build. There's an empty patch of land next to my house, I'd love to get my hands on it and try something similar. Something to think about, although I'll need to earn a lot more first!

More pics from today. The foundations and brick bases for the Oak posts that will hold the 2m and 3m overhang up have gone in now.

Steel frame for the roof arrives a week today.

Sounds like it will be very smart looking then!

I know it's not mine but I'm excited to see it finished, can only imagine how excited you must be!!
