205 gti sorrento green possible paint/ originality issues

Hi, wonder if someone can help me a bit quick please? I need to know the paint code location on a 1990 205gti and also when the colour is sorrento green if it is normal to have white/cream colour under the paint where it chips or wears at kick plates etc. It looks odd to have a light colour like this under the dark green paint and i dont know where the code is located to verify?

Check in the inner wings around the strut tops or at the slam panel above the headlamp,

I will be on the near side head light panel when you open the bonnet,stenciled on with paint.
