top gag,perfect timing

Getting back to the toasties.Salami or Pepperoni are always good because they release all kinds of exotic flavours which are soaked into the bread

I am insanely jealous of you. I left mine in my student house by accident. Never replaced it.

Tuna melt.

Bread buttered on the outside
Tuna mixed with mayonnaise, mustard. Stir in a finely chopped red onion, some chopped capers and some sweetcorn.
Layer of grated cheese.
Tuna mix on top.
Layer of grated cheese.
Lid on.

Theres nothing better than a Pot Noodle Sandwich.

Prepare the Pot Noodle by pouring boiling water to the fill line.
Allow to settle but stir occasionally
Spoon Pot Noodle to the centre of the bread and squirt on some tomato sauce
Layer another slice on top and then Breville

Do what I do and use the American grilled cheese method then. Hot pan with either butter on the outside of the bread or a tiny bit of oil in the pan (and I mean tiny!)

Yeah I do this on my griddle and then put one of my cast iron pots on top of the bread to squish it down and the then flip 4 times to get criss cross marks.

my missus is american and we dont own a toastie machine so this is how i do it now! much better and the cheese (if used) because less lava-esque since its not trapped inside and cooked in its own cheesy steam!

i like one made with some sweet chilli jam, cambozolla and some form of meat...

i do enjoy them though!

My parents have an old Kenwood machine that doesn't cut the bread into triangles... love toasted egg sandwiches. If you cook them just right you still get a runny yoke

I've never used one, probably never will.

They go into the same category as smoothie makers, George Foreman's, waffle irons, and bread makers in that they're something that gets used about 5 times then lives in the cupboard!
