As title, will be down south for a meal here Staurday evening with friends, will I be dissapointed or is the food decent?

Have been to the Rancho Steakhouse on Poole Quay a couple of times and had good meals both times, thought we would try the Carte & Miller place for a change.

It's decent enough. Thought it was quite good, but it's a fair distance out from the centre of Poole

Not sure if it's intentional in your post but it's called Miller and Carter. lol

I used to go all the time (40+ times in 4 years) when i lived local. Food was good pretty much every time (bar one hickup). Shame they don't do the mixed grill anymore but the rest of the menu is sound. I always went for the 12oz rump served medium rare, iceberg lettuce with blue cheese topping and a couple of pints of Aspel!

Win!

Go online to see if you can find any promo offers or codes.

It was my local until they turned it into a poncy gastro-pub and took the fruit machines away frown

Grub isn't bad tho.

Our local one was a Beefeater for years until they rebadged it. Not a lot else changed. Is M&C another Whitbread arm? Similar standard of food.

Makes a change from me hehe

A brief description: CHATEAUBRIAND 16OZ Cut from the
beef tenderloin, this most tender of cuts is
recommended medium rare.

Makes my mouth water thinking about it lick

If you ever visit LeMans for the Classic or 24 hour the proper beef for this dish are raised in that region and you can get a superb meal from some of the restaurants.
