Anyone else get one of these in the post this morning?

Apologies if this has already been discussed at great length!

Still waiting for my one. Presumably there's no great urgency to carry out the remedial works?

I have used wilmslow and leeds to service my car, neither contacted me over this issue, when I rang due to reading about it on here they booked it in so it is not one of those where they say 'leave it until its next service' .

When I had my service in November last year, I mentioned the seat recall and was told, "yes of course we will be doing that......."

Well they did, as it was on the paper work. I think it will take a car to catch fire first before they make this an immediate recall.

Having made that post ,you won't believe what just arrived in the post...a recall notice from Aston Martin.

The worrying thing is it seems the dealers don't know what Aston is doing and Aston don't know what their dealers are doing.

I haven't received this but knew about it and I raised this with Grange when I booked my V8VR for service. They know all about it and said it was a "quarantine" job - i.e. they have to carry it out on any eligible car which comes into the workshops for whatever reason.

Something I posted quite a while back and I am surprised that it has taken so long to filter through. Mind you, I still haven't had my letter yet! Ho hum, in for annual service so it's getting done.

Mine also arrived this morning.

Not liking the fact that it's an "electronic supervisor module" which will isolate the seat heater if it senses "incorrect operation" as I suspect that rather than fix the root cause, this means it'll maybe save me from a burnt arse, but I will need to pay for the more expensive fix if I ever want to have heated seats again.

Or am I being overly cynical?

Nope
It will be a current overload/detection/trip as that is far cheaper than stripping every seat Gaydon have ever fitted to replace the heater elements wink

Got my recall letter today, and as my next service is not due for another 7 months, it's going to be a special trip to have it sorted.

I suppose my nearest dealer will be as good as any, although they do not service my car.

Not had a letter but my v8vr was just serviced at HWM and they completed the recall work at the same time.
