The price of lithium batteries has come down a lot recently - have you considered them ?

I have one of the Odyssey batteries. In an BMW 3 series. Very reasonably priced and throws the straight 6 round no problem at all. Only time you notice the low Ah battery is when a high load device comes on (eg cooling fan) and the revs drop for a moment. Driven in the rain with heater, wipers and lights on no probs though. I suppose 6kg is weighty as far as race batteries go, but can't complain for under £100.
Mine's an Odyssey/Powervamp too - got a discount at Autosport last year - then had to carry it back to the carpark!

No, but it is just a rebranded golf cart battery, I used another type of golf cart jobbie yrs ago that was recommended in caterham use, I'll try & dig out what it was.
I think it was a pvr 22 & if you look on the powervamp site I think it plus the larger 33 are the same batteries as the rmd, just a bit cheaper. Anyone tried Antigravity batteries, specifically the XPS V10?
