Anybody seen this switch being fitted? Presumably there must be a handy place to tap into the loom in that vicinity, unless they remove half the interior at the same time?

Ive got a remote fuse22 that works great, easy to fit.

Just keep the remote in the cig lighter recess. Nice to make a quiet (ish) getaway to the airport at 5am but convenient to have fuse open the rest of the time

Sounds like a good solution - where do you get the remote from, how do you fit it?

In addition to fixing a switch wasn't there another way - something like removing a cable or similar that is physically attached to the exhaust where the valve is positioned.

If you dont fancy DIY you can get all the components in a kit and instructions from Paralight. Its as neat as it gets. Just replace the fuse velcro the small box in place and away you go. Of course its cheaper to DIY if you wish and excellent instructions on previous thread

IIRC, the remote is only on/off. The 3 position switch is much better.

Doesn't the remote do "Fuse on", i.e. as OEM with fuse in, and "Fuse Off" i.e. same as fuse removed?

I imagine so.

But the 3 way switch also does 'always closed'. A very, very useful setting. Think of it as 'stealth mode'.

so you want to drive over 4k revs with the flap closed?

thats pretty high speed even in 2nd or 3rd gear ...people will still hear you coming smile

Yep.

If my missus is in the car, it's the only realistic option if I don't want to get an earful of the other type of droning.

Did you get your remote kit from Paralight recently? It seems Paralight may now be "no more", and is now part of another company - see www.trackaphone.com/specialist-vehicle-installatio... Does anyone know if Paralight still exists?
