Paul Bailey's got all three

All this nonsense about how much he is worth is irrelevant. Most, if not all of his cars are an investment. He could sell his three musketeers tomorrow for double what he paid for them, and I am sure that would apply to most of his collection.
Yup the majority of his collection he could sell on at a profit. With possibly the exception being the 'normal' more recent ferraris they have IE california, f12 etc. But then again all his cars are very highly specced (so Ive been told). He's also getting a few more bits this year (458 Speciale Aperta/ GT3 RS, and Im assuming he will have his name down for a Cayman GT4 as well, possibly a Spyder (but less likely). I just love the fact his wife is as big a petrol head as he is - happy wife, happy life and all that, certainly helps if you both like cars.
In relation to his house, its large, secluded with ample garaging in a secluded spot away from prying eyes.

He was on a recent episode of Who wants to be a Billionaire on Sky recently with footage of his garage. Amazing collection but he can't possibly get to drive all of them enough.I just love the fact his wife is as big a petrol head as he is - happy wife, happy life and all that, certainly helps if you both like cars.

yes I have seen the program... He's done well but he's not a Billionaire :P Nope, not all his vehicles are on site he has even managed to temporarily 'lose' vehicles as he has so many and can't remember where they are stored/being held.
No not all are driven, but some are rented out for events/films. He varies what he drives but as you can probably tell he has a vast array of cars, also has a chap that helps out with cleaning/maintenance etc!

He paid that just for the land ? Planning permission
Had a house on it beforehand I believe with run down stables/outbuildings. As some will know on here, if there are already existing buildings on a piece of land its a lot easier to get planning permission if you knock the house down and start afresh than if you just bought a piece of land with no buildings on it at all. I know there was certain conditions placed upon the size and height of the main house (hence why they dug down). And Also the substantial garaging had to be disguised as much as possible from the road/other side of the reservoir (you can see the house from afar).Slight thread resurrection.

I honestly wouldn't know which one to take out if I was in his position. Some of his cars must have little or next to 0 miles on them. It's gran turismo in real life!
He and others have put about 15,000 miles on the Holy trinityLaFerrari
P1
918
He does drive them a lot, varies what he drives to keep mileage down.
Because some douchebag (dailyfail) wrote it, if a plot of land was bought a while back at £650k with a small house with outbuildings, Whats it going to be worth with garaging for around 40 cars (2 sets of garages), a 3 story house (2 above 1 below) and ample grounds to suit? Your comment was amusing but DM incredibly naive and stupid with their knowledge on anything automotive really.

All lovely cars, but to me that seems a bit like a GT5 type game collection rather than a personal collection. By that, I mean it has all the latest new shiny things, but there seems very little "soul" or anything personal. Quite hard to explain what I mean, but there are no Alfa SZ, Escort Cosworth, restored Ford Cortina, Lotus Carlton etc.Ferrari F12 (Blu Elctrico)

Everything seems a bit new and obvious really. I've no doubt that when Ferrari launch a new variant of the 488 it will go on the list, as would the latest RR, but for me I'd have more "personal" things in my collection - stuff that other people couldn't have just by ordering it from a dealer.

Matt u know an incredible bout bout this PB chap.. .?
Lives 5 minutes from where I live :P and I have good memory for 'useless' information e.g. cars and number plates and those they belong to - if only I could remember useful information! northwest monkey said:

I get exactly what you mean, but Id like to point out I am missing 20-30 cars or more out of that list I don't know about, he has to have some cars in storage as he has so many. But it is quite probable he has kept or has older, less expensive cars that you are referring to. I don't have an exhaustive list, just those that I have seen or know of - some are quite recent acquisitions.Everything seems a bit new and obvious really. There is a local ford dealer to me that has all sorts of what you refer to in his personal collection yellow ford GT (the newer version not GT40), Escort Cosworth (Whale Tail), Sierra Cosworth, couple of rally cars, Mint Fiesa XR2 etc. Daily driver is a Maserati Grandsport - he's said he will change for a Granturismo S soon though.
I've found that once you get past about half a dozen cars, you don't own them - they own you. Servicing, tyres, washing, registration - there's always something boring to do before you can start to enjoy them. Of course, if you've got a little man then it's no doubt easier. If you are a collector rather than a driver, that's no doubt different but then you'd hardly be buying just new cars, would you?
