Not entirely sure this will be the most popular car on PH. M badge is a bit of a no no nono but as long as you're happy etc etc

Lovely looking car and hope you're going to enjoy it, but why cock it up with the M badge?

I drove a 318d a few years ago, and would not describe it as brisk; despite my own car having 70hp at the time!

Big fan of these.....

I have an 11 plate E90 320d M-Sport :-) and love the driving experience!

I've had mine mapped to around 220bhp...It's fairly nippy but at the end of the day its a Derv motorway barge haha!

Get that M badge off though, just think how you'll feel when an M3 rocks up behind you.

Hmm, I'd have a go at that in my aging French diesel hatch, which has 135bhp. I haven't put GTi badges on mine though, seeing as it...isn't.

They're a pretty firm ride these, feel very premium inside. I hired a 320D MSport in that nice blue colour (14 plate) and you couldn't feel the power quoted through the seat of your pants. It was very quick to pick up but felt out of breath if you tried to rev it, much like the old 1.9TDi VAG cars.

Nice looking car that, always liked the E90 shape best in saloon form.

You need to ditch the badge though!!

The father in law got a similar age 320d with the professional nav etc. recently. It's a lovely little car. Well, to him it feels little having spent the preceding 15 years in a Volvo 740 estate.

It just wouldn't be a proper 318d without an ///M badge placed in some random location on the boot.

BMW should've just called them 'Sport' instead of 'M Sport'. It'd save people thinking they've got an M3 when they haven't.

I really like it!
Yes, yes.. the badge is wrong but at least it's only one. My neighbour bought 118d m sport and it looked nice at the beginning but now.. well, black wheels, some kind of eBay rear bumper with huge 'M' in the middle, 118d badge replaced with ///M, stickers on the sides etc. I found it a bit pathetic but he loves it biggrin

My fiancee said to me a few weeks ago, 'woman in my work has a lovely blue M3. You'll like it when you see it. Unsure where she got the money from as M3's are £20,000+ aren't they?'
I was like yes they are, she must be doing well for herself. I look forward to seeing it.

Seen it last week.
A 318d with only an M badge on the back.
Not cool hehe
Would look much better without it mate smile

Standard PH response lol

It's a small diesel saloon designed with economy in mind, 140bhp is happily enough and it'll feel more brisk than the 1.2 Fiat 500 I had the "pleasure" of driving the other week lol

Weirest thing i have read today.
Congrat op. My brother and I bought our father one exact same colour but with the suade type seats. I think it called alacantra?.
Anyway an excellent drive much more involved than my is220d, although i prefer mine for wafting.
Enjoy
