In no particular order -

Getting the car stickered up for the first time (still considering this).
In car discussion on the meaning of life.
Checking out the motors at the channel crossing.
Being highly judgmental about other people's cars (a particular fave pastime of mine).
Ferrari spotting en-route
Unpacking my pop up tent
Watching my mate struggle with his tent poles, pegs etc whilst I have a nice beer.
Swanning about with our paddock passes (another first).
Saying hi to Martin Brundle for the 12th time.
Explaining to the police that the Brundle thing is just coincidence.
Enjoying the walk to Arnage (unlike 2013 when I nearly died of alcohol poisoning).
Not being sick for the entire duration of the race.
Taking it 'relatively easy' on the Friday at Arnage
Checking out the drivers parade on Friday eve.
Being disappointed that porsche beat ferrari in the gt class.
Being hyper critical of anything to do with the delta wing or Patrick Dempsey.
Learning a bit more about sportscars.
Having the sportscars vs f1 discussion.
Listening to my seasoned LM mates deride modern day f1.
Talking a lot about ferraris.
Having the debate as to whether it's wrong to ogle the promo girls at my age (boarder line yellow card etc).
Ogling the pit girls

I'm sure there's plenty more

looking forward to sunrise on the Wednesday and knowing what is to come - no many better feelings in my usually grey existence on this planet :-)

Agreed. The best sound in the world for me is when the cars first go out on track for Wednesday quali. It's so quiet where we are that you hear them quite loud then quieter as they go down Mulsanne with the sound building as they come back round to us. It's a pretty striking sound through our little woods!

When the quali field starts to spread out I particularly love the sound of just one petrol car coming howling all the way up the gears from Arnage until they reach us and bang, bang down the gears and some brake squeal as they enter Porsche Exterieur before throttling on through the curves. Mmmm.
