Compact Sound Bar?
Discussion
Just a quick one, looking for a sound bar to attach to the wall directly under a 28-32" TV. I don't want it to overlap the "small" TV.
Sound bar will mostly be used for listening to music rather than movies\TV as it's in the kitchen\dining area, approx 6m x 7m. Bluetooth connectivity would be an essential feature with a separate bass box. Due to the location of the TV I want to avoid separate speakers and amp, although I appreciate this is usually the best way to go.
Also any recommendations on a decent 28-32" TV?
Budget around £600-£700 for both.

The Orbitsound M9 soundbar could be what you need. It's 30cm wide, with a separate (wired or wireless) sub. Bluetooth, aux and optical inputs are available, and output is 200W. The cost for the wired version is £200, whereas the wireless one is £300.
Thanks for that. I did look at this as an option as it gets good reviews, but it's not wall mountable Possibly, but am thinking get something that's the same size and it may work, especially if it's on the back wall behind the sofa? These guys have a 300x150mm in a number of colours (and back lit options too).
Lovely kitchen by the way

Yeah that's an option actually as the mirror isn't there anymore. Lovely kitchen by the way
Thanks, not ours for another 5 days yet, that's just taken from the schedule

Nice room, I am looking to do an extension and have door just like that. Can you share any info on the doors and blinds?
Don't know much other than they were installed approx 3 years ago by http://www.expressbifolds.co.uk and are 4.5M wide. They are certainly very easy to use, you can open on single door, a pair and then slide the entire thing back. Couple of other pictures of them from the schedule.
I will have the original invoice from Monday.
Sadly most soundbars and subwoofers are designed for screens above 42 inches. For screens below this people are using soundbases....but these are not wall mountable. Philips make beautiful looking and sounding units....but can be hard to find here in the UK without some research. Not silly money either.

Yes, we found that when looking for something to go with our 37" LG. It was a toss-up between the Cambridge Audio TV2 soundbase and the Orbitsound, with the latter looking that little bit less noticeable IMO.Gassing Station | Home Cinema & Hi-Fi | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
