Discussion at work today. Who makes the best pies in Scotland? I do a fair bit of travelling and have a list of favourite pie shops around the country but always willing to try a new place, Any suggestions? Might organise a Pistonheads Pierun tour one day.

I'll start the list

Mhor bakery Calander
Flemings of Arbroath
Wallace of Dundee
Forsyths in Peeebles
Lochinver Larder

Are we talking Scotch pie or any pie? Pillans and Stuarts Scotch pies in Fife are both really nice and have won awards.

You're buying your scotch pies from the wrong place then, you've just described a Greggs pie!

The famed Killie pies are not bad if you can't make it down to your local village craft butcher - available from all good Aldi stores smile

I have to agree, a good bridie beats a good pie.

Not had one for a while though.
