XJC New Advengers "Supercat"

Supercharged V8 modern brakes - yes please, oh must be in Green.

I've seen a drawing of a concept XJC but it just doesn't grab me how the original one did.

Another one here for a Jaaaaag

V12 Series 3 Sovereign for me please and hopefully, with modern technology, it won't overheat every time the sun comes out, like that one i owned a long time ago did.

Carrying on the Jaguar theme.

An XJS which has been formally introduced to an F Type.
I'd keep the V12 though.

This is one I'd thought of, but with DB7 Vantage running gear. Could be 'relatively' straightforward given the similarities between a DB7 and an XJS.

I'd have a totally reworked Griffith - new, improved chassis (can't recall the manufacturer), LSx-engined, upgraded suspension, brakes and headlights (maybe LED rears?), traction control, ABS, roll hoops and some form of side impact protection if such a thing was possible (doors fabricated from CF perhaps?). Granted, it would pi$$ the purists off - but that's a given in this thread I'd have thought. Definitely on my lottery list.

I'd love a Delorean DMC12, but with a drivetrain to match the looks and a more appropriate level of build quality for an expensive car.
Top call, hows about a late NSX powertrain in one (or a bit too revy?)
Tough one, depends on what sort of character you want for the car. With the engine hanging out the back like that maybe it's best not to go down the route of making it too hardcore biggrin

TO be honest compared to the PRV6 even a Ford Duratec V6 would be a huge upgrade! Apparently it only weighs 1250KG or so (from wikipedia so make of that what you will) so huge power is probably not required.
ok, i'll meet you in the middle, hows about a Nobel V6 turbo in it, say about 300 ponies ish?

Enough poke and plenty of torque to waft about on
I've not had the pleasure, but I imagine a turbocharged V6 of a decent size could be spot on. I did read many years ago about a couple of prototypes of twin turbocharged Deloreans made by Legend Industries or some similarly named company. I often wonder what John Delorean could have done if the company had managed to survive.

The only engine a Delorean should have under the "bonnet" is a V8

After all... in the movies they dubbed in a V8 soundtrack wink

Not overly convinced that either wheels suit the car...

This model was never offered with a coupe body. A lot of work went In there!

This one isn't convincing:

I'd like to see a modern version of the Lotus Elite (Type 14)

Lightweight, good fuel consumption, modest grip and a beautiful composite monocoque bodyshell

Mechatronik do some interesting things to old Mercs.
I prefer my classics, classic - but if I had to do one, it would be a W111 280SE from Mechatronik with an modern AMG motor.

I see a theme here.

1) Take old car
2) Add enough power to completely overwhelm old chassis
3) Imagine it'll be awesome
4) Either be killed, or make the suspension feel anodyne and detached
5) Never use the power
6) Make less interesting noises than original engine working hard would have
7) Buy 'real world fast' diesel AWD Audi
8) Lose interest in cars
