I got four to replace the silver dished efforts since I had my wheels refurbished and they rattle about loose. only cheap so I wasn't too surprised. Anyhow a few little blobs of glue from a glue gun to extend the tabs a couple of mm and job done.

Just in case anyone's looking for centres.

Having got my XF in June 2014, I've lost 2 of the wheel centre leapers. I did look at the Bay for replacements which are reasonably priced but so far I've got the two replacements from the local JMD. £18.67 each! If I keep losing them I may be back to the Bay plus some appropriate glue.

BTW they're not glued in, just the hot glue gun for a blob on the tab edges then allowed to dry and they click in positively.

The factory originals were three years old when I bought my xkr and in a terrible state. The cheap ebay ones have been on the car 18 months and still look good.

I've always bought the cheap ebay ones and they fit a treat in my S-Type and XKR.

There's lots of different suppliers so maybe it's the luck of the draw. I paid about £10 for a set of 4. They look good.

I wrapped insulating tape around the tabs on mine before pushing them in and they're fine but corrode easily.

The tabs on the ones on mine (2003 car, purchased in 2013) were knackered the first time I had to get new tyres. I got the cheapies off of ebay but lost two after a couple of months. Got another set of cheapies again and then did as above. All o.k. so far.

+1 for the insulating tape but they went a very faded pink within two weeks so ended up buying OEM from dealers before I sold the car, would never buy cheap copies again!!
