I wouldn't go back to a basic phone (had a few with no internet or email capability).

GPS comes in handy too.

Simply don't log in to ttter and fkBork? Or spend less time on them, you're not a female...
This ^.

Can you not discipline yourself? Seems completely retarded forcing yourself to go back to a phone from the 1980s just because you can't.

I have an S3 and on power saving mode it will last 4 days from average call and text use before it needs charging. That's all I want from a phone for the most part: call duties and text duties, but having the internet and googlemaps available for the rare occasions that I need them when out and about is a very useful feature to have.

Don't see the problem. Smart phones are useful. I don't check social media on them, though, as there's nothing that needs "checking". I tend to save online stuff for my desktop. I do use the phone for games when I'm waiting between clients or meetings and there's not enough time to do anything more useful. I have done accounts stuff on mobile Excel, though, but I mainly use the phone for the diary facility (and have done so since the mid-1990s).

I have become somewhat addicted to Real Racing 3. biggrin

Currentley use this as a daily phone with a £5 giff gaff sim in it.

It was the cheapest phone CPW had, why would you pay anymore than necessary for other people to mither you to death.
After she had dropped my wife's old Blackberry and then my old iPhone 3GS down the toilet we got my 14 year old daughter a very similar Samsung phone from CPW for £5. She loves it as she doesn't have to worry about dropping it (ironically she has yet to drop this one down the bog) and can just throw it in the bottom of her bag while all her friends are being precious about their smartphones.

She does have a tablet for all her email, Facebook, Instagram needs.

Nokia 106 is also dirt cheap. Too basic for me though.

Nothing compared to the likes of Diablo 2. Just one more level and I get XYZ spell unlocked...
