Hi all ... in the general gassing section I posted how I was thinking of buying a T350 here in Australia ...

check my profile ... been a keen Lotus man for awhile ... seen the good and the bad .... so not toooooo scared of the speed 6 ... although the horror stories do rattle the brain a bit ...

questions

1. foot rest beside clutch .. has anyone made one ?
2. speedo ... I know you guys are mph ... but has anyone made a stick on version to change it to km/h ?
3. is there a list of OE swap over parts - thinking brake rotors / mirrors / ... errr sensors ... relays etc all come from the big parts bin with another marque on the side ... am I wrong .... does the list exist ... where can i get hold of it ..
4. what are the "updates" you guys have done to improve (fix what the factory didnt develop) to the T350 (expect a lot of links to previous posts advising how to retro fit Calbra sun visors to the rear hatch to stop neck sunburn etc )

hears to some fun discussions

1) No - doubt there is any room
2) Not that I am aware of (apart from the tuscan) BUT you can switch the digital speedo to Kph. I guess you could re-calibrate it. There are plenty of T-Cars out in Europe, I am sure they can advise on this.
3) No need, original TVR parts can now be sourced (www.TVR-PARTS.com). The bits stolen from other manufactures part bins is diverse, you are better asking as the need arrises or search the forums
4) I have a Tam not a T350 so can't help with this

1, No room and you wont have time to rest anything wink
2, I don't use the analogue speedo and the digital readout is switchable to kmph .
3, T cars are mostly TVR not parts bin .
4, Its a good car out of the box , you really don't need to mod anything . Many do but that's up to them .

Have you driven one ?

That footrest looks good.

Had a look on the ACS pro website. http://www.acs-pro.de/index.html

It's not advertised. Was it a special order item ?

Hi Gavin,

Which T350 is it? The black one at Driven? It looks to be in very nice condition. I've heard the Tuscan seats in it are a bit marmite but not sure on that myself.

I've got a T-car in Sydney that I brought over from the UK with me.

I've also got a whole bunch of spares like coil packs, plugs, lamdas, throttle pots and other bits and pieces 'just in case' which I could help you out with if you need it.
You can also get any parts over from the UK within a week.

Can't recommend any workshops in Melbourne, sorry. But any other questions feel free to ask.

The A/C works but isn't awesome. On a hot day the cooling system might be at the edge of its capacity. While I haven't had any overheating under normal conditions, it constantly lives at 92-97 degrees, it seems to get quite toasty when driven hard (not that you can in Vic wink ) or on track days. I've just bought some high flow cooling fans that I'm going to try out.
Mines been reliable and trouble free since I got it, but then so have all my Alfa's, so maybe I'm just lucky. smile

There is a TVR Aus Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/TVRAustralia

Cheers,
Chris

PS. here is mine:

Hi Chris ... That's a nice car you have
I think I've seen this mentioned before ...

Yes it's the black car ... Moonraker black which seems to have a bronze look to it as it's got a lot of colour fleck through the black ...

Sent a PM as well

Hope to catch up / talk more soon
