Nice to see Mark Cavendish using the roads local to me to launch his Sportive in August.

Thanks for the heads up, I've just entered the 185km event. It's a month before IM Wales so will be a perfect opportunity to double check everything.

I've had to pass my entry to a friend as I've been suffering with a large kidney stone that's lodged in my RH kidney.

Treatment is due to start this week, but I'm thinking it'll be a few weeks before I can back on the bike.

Gutted I can't do this now as it's on the roads local to where I live and takes in some "proper" climbs (the Horse-Shoe pass being one on many).

Looks like I'm also rules out of the Tour de Mon around Anglesey too, later this month.....GRRRRRRR!
