Hi all - apologies if I've missed this post somewhere but what tyres does everyone recommend for a V8 Vantage, I need two new rears.....

Many thanks,

I suggest do a search. There are lots and lots of previous threads on this topic.

In short, the best tyres currently on the market are Michelin Pilot Supersports.

I've tried a search but it's not really coming up with any decent results. Thanks.

There a few searches coming up I agree, but not a recent one with recommendations.

Just called Cost-co for a price on the Supersports, £270 a corner

That's a lot. Tyreleader are currently doing the rears for £204 each (plus fitting): http://www.tyreleader.co.uk/car-tyres/michelin/pil...

anything less than £300 each on the rears is good, and less than £250 on the fronts

This might be a silly question, where would I go about getting them fitted?

When you order them, there is a box to tick to get them fitted locally. You are then given a list of local fitters. IIRC, it is £10-20 per tyre for the fitting, depending on where you go to.

The tyres are delivered directly to the fitters.

A full set of Michelin PSS should be £8-900, fitted. Your estimates seem a bit high.

I got mine done in November (245 and 285 Michelin PSS) for less than £800 fitted at a local cheapo tyre place.
Highly recommend the PSS, haven't been able to push them yet but seem very surefooted, and quieter than the Potenzas.

yes I put them on the Aston last spring and also have them on the M135i
I've done over 30k miles on them in the last 12 months and they are superb in all conditions! (unlike the Potenzas frown )

Another vote for the PSS.

On "S" or wider aftermarket wheels you can put on the same width as the V12V.

Have them on my V8VS and my summer wheels for my Audi. Work great on both!

Thanks all - looks like the PSS's are the resounding opinion.
