Something Porsche powered

Had the bright idea of sourcing something small and light, powered by a Porsche turbo engine. Are there any kits that are designed to accept these kind of engines?

Assuming you are talking 911 engine then the rear engine layout us probably limited to vw beetle based kits but the turbo will probably overwhelm the chassis. If you can move it round and use a boxster gearbox or turn the 911 one upside down then something like the spire gt or the sdr v storm (scooby flat four based) may fit or even an ultima which uses the 911 gearbox. There are also porsche le mans 917 replicas out there and I am sure one of those is running a 911 engine.

But I think your choices are limited. Hope this helps.

you could use a 904/6 gts replica.
there is also one with modern GT3 engine, normally most 904 replica's are air cooled engine's, but some used the more modern engine.

Light YES Small NO (Its 2000mm wide but it is low ) 962 ...
