996 GT3 standard exhaust noise level
Discussion
The standard system in decent condition is borderline on static test for most circuits in the UK.
On drive-by they are generally fine, even at Bedford which is the most strict. But any kind of modification tends to tip them over.
If you can, keep it stock. That's my advice if you want to track in the UK. And it's only going to get worse.

Have a chat with Kline Inovation they built me a custom quite exhaust for the 997 they also do 996 versions.
Top Gear Bridport Steve Kilcoyne (MD) 01308 427588 was the agent I used. He is the step father of Christian one of the main guys at Kline.
Very happy with my system comes in at about 102-104 on static tests last year.

Err I'd run from TG at Bridport. They've allegedly been passing off fake Kline exhausts which they've had manufactured on the cheap in Taiwan according to Felix Kline...Top Gear Bridport Steve Kilcoyne (MD) 01308 427588 was the agent I used. Thanks all for the advice and recommendations.
I've decided to work with Ken @ 9e with one of his developments. Its a switchable bypass solution so should help with trackdays particularly if I end up changing the cats in the future. They know the car well as they look after it anyway.
Will post up how it turns out.

Ha - That sounds like a spitfire!...I won't be able to get it out of the garage let alone on a track day! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WwnprteAnjg,
