So many options it's hard to really know where to start :-)
For a lot of our winter protection details we use Finish Kare 1000p hi-temp paint sealant, it's about £20ish for a large metal tub that will last for ages, you can use it on all painted surfaces incl wheels and even glass if you wish (I'd avoid the windscreen).
It's the same as applying a wax but really does buff off easily as long as you keep the layers thin, 1 coat will suffice but a 2nd coat always helps to be fair. They have a quick detailer #425 which is also a really nice easy to use product after washing or after buffing off the sealant itself.
If you want something that's quicker to apply (i.e a spray liquid) then CarPro Reload lasts 3-4 months on its own, similar to that is GTechniq C2 V3 spray sealant. Just get the paint really clean before hand. An even easier option is CarPro HydrO2 - You spray it over the car whilst it's wet, rinse off and dry - That will last around 2 months.
FK will last around 6 months comfortably with regular (safe) washing.

Thanks Nickg123. I always top up the sealant with a good carnuba wax every couple of months or so but have a couple of new vehicles on our "fleet". I'll try FK & let you know.
Oh, & I use the ph neutral snow-foam (Valet Pro), ph neutral car shampoo (Sonus) & the two bucket method with a microfibre mitt & drying towels.
