Hi guys.

Recently sorted the suspension on my 328 (details in readers rides), and now looking for someone to do the alignment.

As we know know the kit is only as good as the tech operating it, so want someone who knows what they are doing. BMW knowledge/specialist would be ideal but not essential.

I'm in Andover so along M3/303 (Woking, Basingstoke, Salisbury etc...) would be good but I'm willing to travel for a good job.

Thanks in advance.

In Winchester? Not too far away.

Also seen recommendations for wheel alignment centre in Southampton ( HERE), anyone had any experience with them?

I was happy with the alignment on my BMW done by Merityre in Hook. Barrie is the branch manager - I always get excellent service

Didn't realise micheldever was a place. Just looked on the website and saw Winchester in the address.

What's the general service like? Good I assume or you wouldn't have recommended them laugh. I mean do you get a good job just because you know them well or do they give all the cars the same level of attention?

I don't really know them that well. I get my tyres from there but that's not often enough to claim to know them. My MX5 actually goes to Wheels-in-Motion in Chesham for alignment because I do know the guys up there and they have specialist alignment settings for MX5s. All my other cars go to Micheldever for alignment though and they do a good job. If you speak to the guys first they will set it up the way you want rather than just going with settings from the book. I believe Julian is well known in TVR circles and is one of their recommended alignment experts.

Just to update this, got the alignment done yesterday.

Went down to the Wheel alignment centre in Southampton. Nick there has a 4 wheel lazer system made by Supertracker. Before starting his own business, he used to build and test the systems at Supertracker themselves, so he sure as hell knows how to use it!

We discussed the modifications I've made and came up with a setup to suit (slightly outside the 3.0 M3 settings on his recommendation) and he set to work.

Up on the ramps.

So what has the tracking done to the handling? A genuine laugh out loud level of improvement is what! It didn't handle badly before, but the difference now is amazing! The B-road drive back to Andover was genuinely sublime; I had to put the roof down and take a detour I enjoyed it that much!

Very very happy biggrin
