So, the gloomy forecasters say bad weather for next few weeks. How about we plan to return to the highways and byways on Saturday 28th Feb for a breakfast and a little run ?
Plan to Return? This itinerant traveller never really left the highways & byways Niiige.
Well, except for the famous Shelsley overspill car park incident that is.....
OK, the lure of the Bacon is just too strong to resist.
And Barry & I need a small amount of bespoke exhibition grade grey carpet to complete our Alan461 roof stowage boot mod.
( Rough dimensions to follow shortly )
That's if Phillpot can manage to tear himself away from test driving those awful cars over those terrible roads for just one morning?
Any plans for a nice little jaunt somewhere after breakfast?
Actually it's just given me an idea for another breakfast meet I think you would all enjoy.
I shall start a new topic to gauge interest ........... you won't be disappointed

Saturdays are fine, only time and a half, hopefully I can get a Sunday shift that weekend at double time. That should cover the cost of breakfast! phillpot said:

And there's me thinking that you had to pay them! ETA: Next you'll be kidding us that they even supply the petrol.....

Great thanks Niiige. I weakened and decided to sell my daily as well, so needed a 4 seater convertible, there is very little choice, and when you add in big engines and bags of power the choice is very small. So would be good to see an S up close again to keep the thoughts in tune for when I look to add to my car collection again.

Somebody remind me a bit closer to the time to bring along that carpet I was on about for you guys chopping your rear bulkheads out
To Phillpot Specialist Procurement Services:Herewith as requested, please find my order for supply of your Finest Quality Grade A Cut Pile Exhibition Carpet in either grey or charcoal.
Approximate dimensions as follows:
1 pc 29" x 18"
2 pcs 15" x 10"
One lump will do as long as there's enough to chop into bits those sizes.
If you do not have sufficient stocks of Imperial carpet, I am prepared to accept the metric equivalent as long as nobody tells Joe.
I do not require gripper or underlay thank you please.
( I already have glue & nails. )
I am able to arrange collection at that layby at witch (sic) we normally meet at that time & date we spoke of previously.
( Anything to save it getting irretrievably lost by some expensive totally incompetent express courier disorganisation )
Please send either your inflated estimate of price or optimistic invoice to my inland revenue account so they can harass my creditors.
Or I can treat you to a heart attack on a plate and/or a nice cuppa.
Oh, you don't drink tea do you Mike? Never mind, I'll have yours.
Yours insolvently,
glenrobbo.co.uk.com.
P.S. PSPS are the best! Now let's see if they can deliver.....
