Oh that looks healthy!

P1 3x Audi 3x Porsche 3x Nissan 2x Toyota 2x Rebellion 1x ANOther

P2 20 entries.

GTE 3x Corvette (1x Labre) 8x Ferrari (5x AF Corse) 5xAston 6x Porsche 911

7x Reserve (mix of GTE Am and P2) #1 reserve a Viper.

Garage 56 is an ordinary entry this year.

That "another" is the car formerly known as Lotus, I believe.

The grid looks great, but not letting the artist formerly known as SRT racing have it's rightful place on the grid is a travesty. Reigning champs in ALMS, and without a garage 56 crowd pleaser, the Viper should be there for entertainment value.

I'd never wish ill to any team on the grid, but I do hope that both the Viper and KCMG's reserve get a place. IMO they both deserve to be racing.

TL;DR? Bloody ACO - there should be 60 garages already!

The Viper will get the chance, there's always withdrawls

Good things -
Am corvette back with Labre
Lots of Astons again
Nick Tandy in Porche prototype
Harry Ticknell getting a go with Nissan

Only 7 on the reserve list, fewer applications than previous years? Will they really build more garages if that's the case?

Soooo...

"We don't want to be like the other manufacturers who are guarded, who keep everything under wraps and only tell you what they want to know," he said. "We are going to be wide open".

Audi, Toyota and Porsche have now all confirmed their full line ups for the WEC and Le Mans, with Nick Tandy and Earl Bamber announced alongside Hulkenberg.

Nissan the only ones remaining guarded, keeping their full squad under wraps, etc, etc...
They probably haven't signed all of them up yet!

Stop laying into the new boys.

Being open isn't based on punctuality, they've promised set up data (admittably for the playstation generation), lets see if they do it. Like any employment situation, the employee will be the first to know, not some other bugger. Anything else would be crass.

Being reported that one SARD Morand is out, which means the Viper may be in.

They were testing the Le Mans car last week, so they probably had a good idea that their chances of getting in were good, especially with the SARD Morand shenanigans.
