wait two weeks more??

quick question, all

do i wait an extra two weeks for delivery of my car on a "52" sep plate (FOUR weeks in total from now!! ), or do i sod waiting and just get it on an "02"??

would it actually make any difference when/if i sell it on with a newer plate??

Ive got a feeling the answer to this is really obvious and i should wait.... (but i dont really want to, you understand)

I had the same dilema back in 98 when I brought my griff. The head said wait, but the heart won in the end, and I took delivery straight away.
I think that I would have exploded if I had waited a couple of more weeks!!
Yes, I feel it did hurt the resale when I parted with it earlier in the year, but at the end of the day,its summer and the sun is out. Post some piccies when you get it.

I wonder how much difference it makes nowadays. Cars coming out every 6 months and most of the public don't understand the new plates anyway.

It doesn't give quite the kudos of a new letter, which even people near me in Kettering seemed to be able to understand.

I've got a brilliant idea - how about chatting up your dealer and having the car now but promising not to use it for 2 weeks! At least you could admire and polish it in your garage!
PS remember to put your lippy on before you go and see them.
