Basically, I'm in my mid-30s but I look like I'm a teenager. (You're going to have to take my word for it because I'm not going to post a pic.) People generally tell me that I look like I'm around 17 or 18. The problem is I can't "smash the 17 and 18 year olds" because a) I'm not really attracted to girls who are that young and b) it probably would get me run out of town if I was f**king some guy's teenaged daughter. So throw that idea out.

When I approach girls in their mid-20s in real life, they think I'm some kid. It's not about "confidence level," it's literally that they see me and see a little kid. It would be like if some confident woman who was 28 came up to you but looked like she was 14. You're not going to f**k her because she looks like she's 14 (or at least I wouldn't). Online, women think I'm posting a "fake pic" or one that is from when I was a teenager. Any suggestions for solutions to this or has anyone else experienced this and gotten over it somehow? I can't just wait until I look older because I've looked pretty much the same since I was in college. Even my friends say so. (By the way, yes, I know it's a great "problem" to look young, but I'm just saying it stops me from getting into a relationship.

No matter what you think it is a confidence thing, plenty of 17 and 18 year olds smash older women I was knocking off women up to 40 at that age. You looking young is a bonus not a hindrance.

If you do look that young you won't get chased out of town as you won't look old, enjoy the 18-19 year olds for gods sake. Never mind the fact at that age they are adults and no father is going chase you away.

If you can....

I look about 15 when clean shaven.

I'm now 40 and don't look more than early 30's (apparently).

Just go with it - believe me its better to look younger than you are than look older than you are.

I'm 29 and this happens to me all the time. A lad at work was calling me "young un" the other day, he thought I was about twenty. Turns out he's in his early twenties.

I've been refused the sale of some spray de-icer at a shop because I had no ID on me frown

This applies to a mate of mine. We used to laugh at him when we were around 30 and he looked 16. But now we're early 50s and he looks 35, he's laughing at us.

Apparently you soon won't be able to buy fruit from Tesco unless you can prove you are 18+ so it's only going to get worse OP.

Very early mornings are a killer. Pay is lousy too.
What's the upside?.. wink

I'm a bit weird with it. When I was 18 everyone thought I was about 30. Now everyone thinks I'm about 20 (I'm quite a bit older than that).

A very long time ago I knew someone who had the same issue as you.

You can't take the positive attitude that when you are 65, you will probably look like you in your mid-40s. That will really make your mates grumpy!

Also, aren't you the bloke who liked oriental girls? My offer still stands to introduce you to that Korean one I know who is looking for a boyfriend.
