Any advice would be appreciate
I have a 2010 Honda civic 2.2 diesel

I have notice that when I accelerate on the motorway, I can hear what I can only describe as a loose belt type of sound


Any ideas??

Are you sure its not the Turbo? I had a civic Diesel and the turbo whistled a bit at speed - noticeable but not annoyingly so.

It is a turbo. Might be that???

Most common one is aircon kicking in and out when driving, makes a high pitched sound.Check out website civinfo.com forum

Turbo noise is normally quite a pleasant sound, rather than a screechy belt sound.

Done several turbo driven engines that have a loose / split / leaking exhaust manifold.
Sounds for all the world like a belt
