Hi guys

I'm replacing all 4 tyres at the end of the month on my 2002 Tuscan. Can I have some opinions on best make and sizes. Budget is not an issue. I just want something that's going to give me the best drive.

Thanks.

Probably not the most useful reply as I have no basis for comparison, but mine had Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas fitted when I bought it and I have been impressed with their performance in the dry and greasy/slippery winter conditions. I haven't driven enough in the wet to have an opinion either way.

I need to change all 4 on mine soon.

I was thinking of moving to Yoko AD08-R all round - I've used them on my Autosolo MX5 and they seem pretty good. They grip really well and when they do stop gripping, they don't snap on you too much.

Tuscans feel different, when you change brand/make or size of tyre, mainly under heavy breaking, this is because the scrub rad and KPI are marginal, hence the 3mm spacer can transform some cars

Tyre,s like Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas have an asymmetric tread pattern and if you move the center of its footprint even a few mm it may start to tramline or feel different on the steering wheel under braking

If you are really happy with the car, i would swap like for like

Great tyre but not all sizes available any longer; kind of discontinued

What sizes have you gone for?
I've got R1Rs on the front at the moment and looking to replace the rears with the same.

I have a 500mile old R1R sitting in my garage. 225/40 iirc. Drivers side tyre. £25 if you haven't bought yours yet.

Actually, it might be 235/40.

No dramas.
