Anyone out there able to provide links to any video clips of a Tuscan running the ACT big bore exhaust. The clips I've found on YouTube are tamoras and they all sound a bit "farty".

I like the sound of my Tuscan and the look of the cans but am after the free-est flowing exhaust I can get.

I've got Powertech cans which have a bigger bore. (and decatted and loud).
I'd like to hear the ACT ones.

Nick are you keeping your original cans. It might be the mic used on that video but it still seems a bit "frrrapppp" at the top end when booted. Mine kind of growls more and seems higher pitched.

Plan on keeping the 'original' end cans although they are the blue flame titanium ones, and already running d-cats. I will see how it sounds, but could always have sports cats and/or half sleeved power tech end cans to get the desired exhaust note.

Were you thinking of the clip linked to by NCE above or a different one. If it's different let me know as I'm curious to hear more. Thanks

Thanks. Is it as simple as tuning the sound with the end can. I'm worried that I'll lose the real howling sound of my standard exhaust with the wider bore.

It's my car in the vid (another below) and the mic does make it sound more tinny than it is in reality. I tried all sorts of variations before settling on the ACT system and do believe it's a great system. It's quiet when on light throttle, quite a deep sound but not overly boomy, and still screams at high rpm.
It really is the end cans however that make the most difference. I had the larger shark nose act cans for a bit and they were pretty nice but not so loud or raspy as I like, powertech made me some half sleeved cans which were good but they made a ticking sound as if a seal wasn't quite right but Simon was very helpful and sorted me a new set very quickly although by that stage I'd decided I could cope with louder so the ones in the vid are straight through.

I'm based in Reading but should be at quite a few events this year if you want to try to meet up!

Hi Dave was the car decatted in the vid.

Bizarrely I helped deliver some end cans to you with a chap called Chris (who's tuscan was off the road) at brooklands, for another Tuscan up your way.

wavey ah yes I do remember!

Yep car is decatted and also running a 4.3 engine which has deepened the exhaust note somewhat as well.

I'll try and head up to burghley house if it's dry. Are you planning on doing that one Dave.

I might post up to see if anyone wants to sell an S exhaust so I can get the new engine mapped.
