Anyone know of a really engine tuner/remapping guy within 100 miles of Stockport?

Did 3Dee - Kieth find someone to do some mapping, I believe I remember him talking about it? He has been quiet on here lately.

I used Greg here .......http://www.protuner.co.uk

not sure if it is quite within 100 miles, must be close to it. He usually starts around midday and works into the night. Great fun checking my new map on the M42 at midnight in the middle of Feb. Never ever ever gonna take the car out again in winter hahaha.

My ecu is EFI Live. but he does all sorts.

We used Powerstation in Tewkesbury. Wouldn't go anywhere else. 120 miles away or so from you.

True, but I seemed to remember that I asked about other systems and i thought they supported them - but of course I may have completely made that up, it was a while ago!

I have a tune for an ls7 (58 count crank), mild cam, stock intake, modified air scoop.
Tune was done by a reputable shop here in the States
car runs great at an idle ( I have not driven it yet still sorting out other issues)
I use HPtuner
It could be a great starting point.
If anyone is interested I'll upload a copy for you.

I'd very highly recommend Lee Pen from LAP Engineering. He's can work all kinds of magic and is a real pro (see his website for the type of stuff he does).

www.lapengineering.com

He's based in Notiingham area so close to you.

Though what you do is book a track day or somewhere like Bruntingthorpe and he maps things in the real world.

I know he does MoTeC as that is what I have, though he does do others.

His fees are reasonable for what you get.

Too much beer Johnny?

Bit of a thread hijack, but any news on the MacG Racing Ultima?

What are you doing to it and do you hope to be out racing this year?

Probably not enough!

Truth be told we have had so much work for customer projects, including some really interesting projects for some small and medium scale manufacturers that the mapping we had done last summer seems an age away.

In terms of our car, all will be revealed in due course, but we have designed a new chassis which is significantly stiffer and will allow us to run much higher levels of aero than we had previously, which aside from a splitter and a wing was very little. Also plenty of other mods to make the car more efficient and lighter...watch this space.

Sounds very interesting. Remember to post those "spy shots" here first.
