09 Insignia. How do you turn the lights off?

last think you want on a cold morming is the lights on when starting,surely there must be a way turning them off?
Turning a switch to turn them on to my mind is far better than turning the bloody things off before starting.
Also any way of getting the seat heater on without being sat on it.
Not impressed sitting on ice cold leather for 5 minute waiting for my ass to defrost.
