Just to let you guys know that there has been a spate of robberies for car parts around Billericay. My side skirts that were on my ST have been stolen, along with the centre caps on the alloys. Keep an eye on your stuff chaps! Thieving 3.14keys frown

Yeah, they keep being moved on, but then come back frown wonder if they were stolen to order, or whether I'll see some scrote in a 1.25 fiesta driving around with nice shiny side skirts on...

I think it's time to look for somewhere else to live.

Think it depends which side of town you are! The station side seems much nicer than the side I live on. Looking for somewhere with off-road parking now, glad I'm only a lodger so can move on when I please!

Not just Billericay bud, it's county wide and been going on for a long time.
Fiestas are one of the most common cars being stolen at the moment (newer models). If you're planning on keeping your ST long term there's an alarm company I can reccomend in Thundersley who put a pukka alarm on my ST when I had it for reasonable money - PM me if you would like the details

Two of my work colleges ST's was stolen From Woodford Essex today a Fiesta and a Focus ST3. But I sometimes park my car in the same place lucky enough there was no room to park in that street so I parked a few streets away and was OK . But now I will have to get a good steering lock and a tracker fitted I think.

Anyone know how to find out more details about an eBay seller, a bit covertly? The reason I ask is because I have seen some skirts in Basildon, so quite close, that look as if they've been resprayed. Looking at the sellers profile, it would seem that he sells a lot of Fiesta St and Zetec S stuff that are easy to get off, such as side skirts, bumpers etc. I'm probably barking up the wrong tree, but I have a bit of a hunch, and I'd like to find out more...

Unsure what to do about it. I don't have a shred of evidence that it is him for definite, but surely there can't be that many sts being crashed and broken up can there?! Plus, if he was breaking them, he be selling all the bits off them wouldn't he? I know he's sold an airbag and something else from a fiesta, but it doesn't seem right to me.

Would be under theft/auto crime. Detail that you are aware of a big problem locally with fiesta parts being stolen and the ease in which they can be removed. Also worth noting some of his advertised items look like they have slight damage where they have been removed and also subject of a poor quality respray.

The jag grill he has for sale - the index displayed in the picture does not match that of the age of the car etc etc etc. cram in as much detail as possible that all points to how shifty they seem. You're right at this stage there is no evidence, but it all builds a bigger picture wink

Had a phone call from the officer who was dealing with this today. Case is closed due to lack of evidence, unsurprisingly. I did mention about what I had found on the bay, and he said he would investigate it and update the system with the info. If anyone else has stuff stolen like me and Darrell have, stick it on here and I'll keep an eye on this bloke and see if it goes up on eBay. Might not be him at all, and I'm not wishing to try and incriminate an entirely innocent person, but I'm sure something stinks!
