Did these cars come with leather or vinyl centre consoles and door bolsters ? Was it standard to have wool carpets .

I `m having some work done soon and can`t work out if its worrth splashing out and going for wool carpets and leather .

I can`t decide if to have carpet ,vinyl or leather door cards .

They all seem to look smart when re trimmed .

They can make the vinyl look exactly like the leather, its cheaper and cooler, so I ordered the Odyssey seats in vinyl!

My door cards and center bolsters both feel like leather and says leather in black marker on the back of them.

To be fair, the vinyl used by TVR is visually a pretty good alternative to leather, however. leather is just so much nicer IMO.

My interior is being retrimmed in leather by Central TVR as we speak, I will collect it next week smile

Mine were vinyl, had the dash redone in the leather but the bottom half isn't a great job because of the weird shape so I think i'll get it redone in black vinyl to match the door cards.
I personally wouldn't spend the extra on wool carpets, it's not like your rubbing them with your hands or feet anyway?
Get the door cards done in something nice though like suede

Andav, I was at Central just yesterday picking up mine (again). I always enjoy a good look around the shop and car park. Which one is yours?

I think leather feels much nicer and there is also the smell factor.....you can't been the smell of new leather! smile

Standard was 'half-leather' which, as it was explained to me, was the fronts of the seats onlt.

Optional was 'full leather, which I was told was what it says on the tin. However knowing TVR, I suspect even that wasn't a full leather trim.

I changed my door cards to leather and it is much nicer on the elbow rather than the scratching carpet and looks more modern.

I`m having new carpets but can`t decide if to have wool or nylon .

The center console is being re trimmed and maybe the door bolsters .The door card will be vynl or leather but only if i decide to have new door bolsters .

I`ts not a full re trim but just enough to tidy it up .

Just can`t decide .

I remember an old thread where someone used vellore or something on the door cards and it looked really good

I have original full leather trim on mine, and you can tell the difference between it and the standard TVR vinyl/half leather.

The vinyl, has a much courser, grainy texture, the leather is much smoother. Leather looks a bit better and less plasticky if you compare the two.

I used alcantara on my door inserts over a layer of 10mm foam in my Chimaera. My last Griff' was 3/4 leather that had leather dash and door inserts. Never been a fan of carpet in the doors.

Alcantara is £80 a meter .If i went for that ir would be used for door carts and the arm rest part of the centre console

Is it man made product ?

can spot it a mile off the vinyl may be low maintainance but the leather looks lovely.
