I've just finished re-reading this thread about a chaps experiences in the Navy and thought it was a pretty good read. I think someone posted the original link to it on here a few years a go.

Does anyone else have any links to other entertaining reads from sites outside PH (I think I've read most of PH at least twice)? Not necessarily in exactly the same vein as the above, I'll take anything that's well written and funny/interesting.

Seen that one before. Having had the benefit of a couple of doses (of Picolax!!!) I can confirm it to be true. It's funny to look back on now and a great tale to tell.

Thanks for posting that. I served 8 years in the RN, also as a Weapons Engineering. Its exactly how I remember my time in the Navy smile

Only got through the first few pages on my train home, so lots more to read.

On Arrse there is also the Stumpy the Army Dog thread. Very funny and now a quite expensive book.

Threads that i cannot link to from work include the Cum Shoebox - Reddit.
The wking tool (The Social Anxiety Thread 1) - Body Building Misc section.
stting in a dates bath (The Social Anxiety Thread 2) - Body Building Misc section.

In fact checking out any of the Misc forums legendary threads will amuse you. The recent highlight was two lads arguing over how many days are in a week.

Th one with the Pictures of the Alabama wedding between the skinny Army guy and the massive redneck lass is also classic but i cannot remember the name. frown

Can anyone remember the corsa driver who raved on about improving the driving dynamics of his 1.2 stbox by lowering the seats?

Nothing on that Naval story one, I'm in tears reading it. Wait till you get to the Chicken part, awesome.

'I cupped the jar to my hoop and curled a Bungle's finger straight into the jar. A teenage diet of McDonalds and crisps ensured that it was way too big for the jar. Some artistic creativity was required.

Thinking on my feet, I quickly figured out what the spoon was for. Grasping it betwixt thumb and finger, I crammed the turd down with the spoon, pressing it down until it filled every corner of the jar, I then carefully used the back of the spoon to smooth off the top, before finally sealing it up.

Proud of my effort, I dumped it on the nurse's desk.'

hehe at 'Bungles finger'

God, I remember that as well ... with some frightening pics from memory ... wasn't he in uniform as well?

Edit: you already said in uniform - so it is the same one!

Where's the one from a US car thread where a bloke said he had some cracker of a girlfriend and then he posted a few risque pics up and she was the most frighetning thing ever known to man?

Someone did some fantastic gifs as well!

I think it was even more ridiculous, I think he claimed it saved weight.

I think i know who it was, it was up there with the cadence-clutching thread for daft ideas.

My favourite reply on that thread was the bloke who told him to make sure he'd opened his glovebox as well, every little helps. hehe

A Cache of The Army Marriage thread with pictures. Must be said, this is really bloody cringey.

Also, this is a repost of one of the Social Anxiety threads, originally from Misc but hosted with the original pictures somewhere else. rofl

Epic. I've just spent the past 48hrs reading this on and off and pmsl whilst getting funny looks from the wife. Immense, a well recommended read - there is a lot of it though. Thanks for pointing it outclap

Took me most of saturday to read that great thread.

Anyone got the link to the dog one and is it the Irish one or the ww1 usa one?
