Am looking to replace the standard exhaust on my new Jaguar S type R with something a bit nicer so i can properly hear the V8.

I've contacted Hayward & Scott and AMD so far. Any other companies i should look at ?

I'd second those two, Haywood and Scott are very good, but VERY expensive, they wanted £750 for the rear box alone for my 370Z yikes
I don't know much about Pipecraft, but they have been around a long time so they must be doing something right.

Hello Karim,

I'll add a vote for Hayward and Scott. They manufactured the exhaust systems for ScoobySport in the good old days and the quality of their work was stunning. I suggest you have a drive up to their workshop and see for yourself, you won't be disappointed and will see where the cost is made up thumbup

About 8 years ago I took my car to an exhaust specialist local to me, in Basildon (I won't name and shame here) to have the exhaust welded, flange just needed re-welding, near the catalyst.

Picked the car up next morning, got back to the office, looked under the car and the catalyst had been removed and a section of pipe welded in instead! Called them up, and they said they couldn't return my catalyst as it had been chucked in the skip and gone for scrap!

They hadn't even told me they were removing it!!

Learned a lesson about cash in hand jobs from that!

I've had a system done my Vette by Pipecraft - it lasted in excess of 10 years, it was fine only changed when I 'stepped things' up a bit engine wise. I had to go to Hayward & Scott for a larger bore stainless system. Yes very expensive but well made and everlasting

The same could not be said for Scoobysport!!

Hayward & Scott made a full custom exhaust for my father's 911 Turbo SE about 10 years ago which admittedly took them 3 attempts to get the fit correct (wonky tailpipes) but after quite a bit of faffing around the result was very good. Everyone makes mistakes now and then but they were happy to put right what the customer wasn't happy with. Not the prettiest systems in the world especially for their prices, but the longevity is undeniable.

No pic of the exhaust I'm afraid.
