I'll just point out you HAVE to be a full Member of the TVRCC to attend the whole event. The first day is part of a public event so anyone can attend, but there is a TVRCC twist in the evening. The second day at Millbrook however is private and to attend that you will have to be a member of the TVRCC to obtain access.

No exceptions.

I'm hoping to be there with my 1988 350i. Just waiting to see all the details as I might bring my 13 year old lad, as it's his birthday weekend. I'm not sure the Saturday evening do will be suitable/open for him.

Have to say it looks an impressive weekend with more to be confirmed. Just wondering how they will limit the number of opportunities on the Milbrook circuit as surely the turnout will be huge to celebrate 50 years there will not be enough time ? and also will it be unlimited in terms of noise and speed if you get a space ?

rofl Prospective members are unable to see future events?

How on earth are they able to decide whether to join if they can't see the primary reason to join?

Good ol' TVRCC.

Couldn't agree more Ian.

I was a member for three years, then thought would have a break.

If people knew what was happening in the future you might get more members.

Can only see this having the opposite effect!!!!! mad

I'd agree with that Grover it's a very valid point so we need to look at showing what's coming up to potential members.

The issue we have with opening that area up at the moment is the various 'member only' codes are often posted there, but I agree we do need to look letting prospective members see what's coming up.

It's a big venue and we've been told that it is possible to have 50 cars on both the Alpine circuit and the High speed bowl at one time so spread out over the day there should be ample opportunity to get laps in.

No noise restrictions, it is a development facility after all biggrin

I won't able to make the Saturday as I'm in Devon the week running up to it but I do hope to be there for Millbrook smile especially as I only live down the road.

Anyone looking for a nice place for dinner on either the Friday or Saturday nights,;
Hare & Hounds in Old Warden (so 2 mins drive from the venue) is really nice.
Else the Black Horse in Ireland (10 mins drive from the venue) is also very good though both would need advance booking smile

Avoid like the plague the White Horse in Southill.

Shuttleworth itself has a very nice restaurant. We meet there every month for the Herts and Beds
region biggrin

TBH Colin, most of the events get posted here as well - just minus the club codes...

...except when folks like myself forget to remove them... biggrin

I think most long term TVR owners know what amazing events the TVRCC hold every year so you can pretty much guarantee a fantastic year, a list of events is ideally aimed at new TVR owners who have never heard of the club and enjoying their new purchase, but unfortunatley alot of present TVR owners do not agree with TVRCC fundametals and how the club is organised and are quick to air their views on this forum which is fine as its an open free forum for everyone to use. But when it actual comes to putting words into practice and try to help change the car club into something they think is better, well alot are heard but never seen. smile
