Are there any photos of this show on Pistonheads? Can't see any?

I'll be there on the 7th with a couple of mates.

As a brand new Porsche owner I contacted Porsche head office to request passes for their stand. Got a very polite two fingers response from them.

Asked my dealer. Said he'd look into it as a few of the guys there where flying out (for fun not through Porsche) to see the GT4 and also wanted passes. Haven't heard a thing since...

They've already got your money AND a guarantee you'll waste more money having a 'Porsche Service History' (waste in the sense that you won't get a better service than from a specialist, I guess it'll help resale value), so they're not interested in you now biggrin

Getting unreasonably excited about next week now! smile

I am going next Tuesday, looking forward to seeing the Alpina 50th Editions.
Won't need a pass to get on their stand, they offer a much more personal experience.
Also be able to sample the wonderful wine they have for their customers drink

I've been there on Tuesday, during press day entry. A lot of amazing cars and great fun. Worth to go, although, this was my first time anyway wink

Had a great time there yesterday. Would recommend it as a (albeit long) day out. 6am EasyJet out of Luton. Arrived back at Luton at 8pm. As mentioned previously the show is an easy a 5 minute walk from the airport. Entry is good value at 16cf (about £11) but everything else (just like the rest of Switzerland) can be pricey, reckon on £7 for a burger, £3 for a can of Coke.

As for my previous gripe at Porsche hospitality earlier in the thread. I finally got a call back from my dealer who apologised that there was no way to get passes/hospitality for the stand at Geneva and I should just mention I'm a Porsche owner when I arrive. You can guess what's coming next can't you... The staff at the Porsche stand informed me there was absolutely NO admittance to the hospitality area or access to the new GT3RS or GT4 without a pass organised by your dealer! 😡

To show how it can be done, I currently have no relationship with McLaren but the polite, knowledgeable, personal service and tour of their cars I got was a joy. Woking 1, Stuttgart 0.

We went Saturday from Luton too.. On the 07:05 ( a bit too early) and back on the 21:50 ( a bit too late). Started offf well as the Palexpo centre is an easy 10 mimute inside walk from the airport. Access was easy and we were soon amongst the stands but by 11am is was getting pretty busy and by 1pm you literally could hardly move anywhere near the "desirable" stuff like Ferrari, Aston, or even Jaguar. Some great cars there as you would expect, the Paganis and Koenigsegg stands got a lot of our attention, By 2pm we had seen everything and headed off into town. 35CHF each way... Plenty of nice restauramts (and nice prices (not)). Back on the 21:50 landed back about 22:15. Not sure I'd go again on a Saturday though due to the crowds...

I am taking my staff for the 4th time. We are there Saturday the 13th. Look out for the big group on top of the Jaguar Land Rover stand making too much noise !

Great show and lots to see but does get very busy.

Best tip is to stay in France on the border in Ferney Voltaire, nice hotels and much cheaper than Geneva.

Hope to see you there !

Enjoyed my trip on Tuesday, arrived when doors opened at 10AM and was done by 1:30.

A few thoughts :

Got busier as the day progressed, but plenty of opportunity to get close to the cars earlier.

Thumbs up to Porsche and AMG for not being all prima-donna about letting people sit in their cars.

I still don't like the P1 and the F1 on the stand was a bit of an own goal imo smile

Paganis are utterly wonderful.

The new Honda NSX is a bit of a mess, but the Civic Type R was the 'sensible' car I'd have taken home, much to my surprise.

The Ford GT was gorgeous and the new Focus RS is really quite subtle!

The Jaguar XE was a disappointment - Looks good, but feels cheap and has a small boot.

Blah I had a flight booked for today to head out. But in the end I was feeling a bit ill and some office work needed to be done :-(

So I thought I would be sensible and not go.

Really bummed out, was looking forward to it as I had never been and had been talking about it for weeks!

:-(
