At least one major difference between the two models is that should you have a walk around the smarter areas of London and you'll see loads of 997's and not look twice at them-
Indeed, but I doubt there are many 993 owners who bought their cars for attention.
It gets the right kind of attention, most people think it's a 15k Porsche, not too flash, but it's paid all it's servicing, upgrades and major items and returned £10k in spare change in the last four years.

That's why they don't come up for sale often, and the current prices mean you have to be very serious, however I think they still gave a way to go, especially the wide bodies and turbos, simply because of the numbers made.

Here's mine after being detailed... Was looking for over a year before finally getting one as all the decent manual C2's seemed to be snapped up within hours of being advertised.

...so MTR how many did they make? According to PCGB there were 857 manual RHD imported to the UK.

Just in case you didnt see it on the other thread. Most people are quite surprised when they realise how few came to the UK.

Out of interest if you don't mind, may I ask what mileage and what value. Just I've just guessed mine for insurance purposes and have no idea if it's right or not.
PM if you prefer.

Why would any Porsche lover sell their 993

I have a 9934s with 55000 miles, two owners ...... etc etc

Never ever to be sold

That's why there are none - all the good ones are tucked away
I sold my mint 993 C4 because it wasn't the step on from the 3.2 Carrera that I'd expected. The 3.2 Carrera was a rawer drive and I preferred the looks of the older car. I went back to another 3.2 Carrera, before moving forward to a 996 turbo.

For me the 993 isn't as cool as the earlier cars and it doesn't have the performance of the later cars.

No right or wrongs just my preference. smile
3.2 v 993 C4. Very different cars indeed. Ever driven a 964
