Flat bed film scanning for medium format
Discussion
Ph'ers this is a quick appeal for help. Does anyone have access to a decent flat bed scanner that will scan old medium format film (6*4.5) and would be prepared to do a couple of scans for me? I have a couple of images of my first car, the tarmac shredding monster that was the Citroen AX GT that I'd like to get scanned. As they are a bit underexposed I don't want to send them away to spend lots of money scanning them but would be more than happy to pay a fellow PH'er a bottle of wine to scan them for me.
Cheers

If you get no other offers then I'll give it a go.
I have an Epson Perfection 2400 which has a built in film / transparancy unit.
What I don't have is the film holder for medium format film, just the 35mm film/slide unit. It "should" work by just placing the film on the scanner bed.
Like I said, happy to give it a go for you if no-one else can help.

Thanks for the offer. I have a contact with a flat bed scanner so will give this a whirl and come back to you if that fails. Cheers

A "normal" flatbed scanner will not do the job.
The flatbed needs to have a transparancy unit so it can shine light through the neg/slide.
Mine has one, I just don't have a medium format holder, I can probably rig something up though.
