I saw 2 XFRs the other night. The first was white with black pack and the other black with brightwork. I don't like white cars as a rule but they both looked pretty good. Not as good as French Racing Blue of course, but nobody's perfect smile

I do love the black pack on the facelift. Really would like to de-chrome my 2010 and get some Dark Dracos on it, think it really gives the XFR a lift.

Beautiful example.
Thank you smile

I did think about de-chroming my SV8 using plastidip? Youtube it if you're not sure..

I think Racing Blue is reserved for the XFR-S too, and they're still big money at the moment!

It is, or at least was. The XFR-S blue is now a pearlescent blue called Ultimate Blue. It came out in May last year replacing French Racing Blue which is no longer available at all. It was what pushed me cancel our order and buy the demonstrator smile

Ah ok, i wanted to avoid confusion for the OP to make sure there's no confusion! I prefer a bit more of a subtle look though smile

Haha that's ok.

I do admire subtle looking XFRs whenever I see them. Basically I'm just a huge Jaguar fan. I'm on my fourth and plan to have more.

The XFR-S is a bit obnoxious whereas the XFR has a wonderful sophistication about it. The R-S sacrifices some of the R's ride quality for sharper handling. Both are great cars in their own right. As I head towards middle-age I keep thinking I should grow up, but if anything I'm getting worse. My first Jag was green with chrome and a cream interior. They've become progressively more dheadish as I've grown out of my 20s into my 30s!

The XFR is an absolutely lovely car. I'd have one over an M5 or E63 any day smile

Haha, I think I'd like a dark moody XFR-S with the small spoiler and noisier exhaust. I've always admired Jag's but never wanted to own one until I saw an XFR at Goodwood FOS. I also took out an S4 and E92 M3 and my older SV8 was better. I think I'd like an XK120 when I retire, or an F-Type R.

Ahhh why do I read things like this?! Looking at SV8's now, would maybe make a nice upgrade from my XJS scratchchin

Lot of car for the money

That would be madness.

Unless you mean "it would make a nice stablemate for my XJS", which I'd agree with. smile

I'll just chip in with my experience of an SV8,

The price differential between the sv8 and xfr means that the sv8 offers seriously good value. As they were the halo car at the time most examples I looked at where extremely well equipped over other xf models and You just don't see them with out the toys like you do at the lower end of the xfr market. Toys like (the excellent) b&w surround sound stereo, adaptive cruise, TV, etc

Performance - no doubt the xfr has a bit more as it has the 5.0 instead of the 4.2. But the sv8 still has circa 416 bhp and 420 lbs ft - that's two very good figures to have. Throw in the fact that the sv8 has adaptive dampers and switchable dynamic mode that the other XF models don't get and you get a good choice over effortless wafting or precise aggressive attack.

I like the stealth look after having more obvious cars previously it's great to be able to blend in, and not have the parking anxiety associated with some cars.

For me this is a fantastic car. Seriously quick, the in gear pace thanks to all the torque leaves everything for dead that I've encountered. Makes a lovely noise too, nice v8 depth with a little supercharger whine over the top when you floor it.

Best exhaust option consensus seems to be the spires back boxes - there are some good YouTube clips
