Elmwood or Dave Batty in Compton.

Don't know if there is still a TVR dealer near Redhill.

They are who I use for most jobs, thumbs up from me. The Cerb will be going back there very soon for a spring refresh and 6K service after a winter of non use.

Elmswood did a load of work for me at short notice to get Tamy MOT'd and track ready following Samy's remodelling. Only downside is despite being relatively close as the crow flies they are a ball ache to get to on public transport. This applies to most of the specialists though.

Not used Dan Taylor. Although they need to sort this out on the Gredge pretty sharpish - http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... - following their rebuilb of the front section of bodywork. I've no doubt they will though.

I've used Dan Taylor too when it was down there for paint work at RSC Body Craft. Seemed to do a good job mostly, only niggle was I had a new alloy rad put in and they left the old one in there too with the new one bolted behind it. Is that normal?

Hi Nick
I have used both (Dan Taylor for my S2 & Chimaera ,Elmwood for my S2)
I would say they are both as good as each other with regards to standard of work and service ,it depends on your location and if you need to get the train back once you have dropped your car off (Dan will take you to his local station ,not sure about Elmwood)
You can pm if you need more details

I suspect what you think is the old radiator is actually the aircon rad which sits in front of the one for the water. There isn't physically room to leave the old radiator in there too!

Another recommendation for Dan from me too. I won't trust anyone else with the alignment.

Started using Elmwood when I first got my Griff in 2011 simply because they were closest to my home. Have used them ever since as they seem to know their stuff and I have been very happy with the service provided.

Elmwood do offer to drop you at the nearest railway station too.

Guys, both TaylorTVR and Elmwood are 10-15 min walk from a station! (Stoneleigh and Aylesford respectively)

Elmwood are also next to a petrol station with whom you can leave and pick up the keys from if you need to drop off or pick up outside of office hours.

Their proximity to a railway station is only helpful if you live along the line(s) that station serves. I live very close to Elmswood as the crow flies, but it's a minimum 90-minute journey on public transport (bus or rail). Indeed, it took me two and a half hours when I left to collect Tamy.

As I said, the same is likely to apply to all specialists to certain extent. Just because something is in London doesn't make it easy or quick to get to or from.

Well this isn't likely to help then:

wink

But yes, I have the same issue. It's great if I drop off and pick up when going to and from work, but if I need to get back home it's pretty useless so I dismantle my bike, put it in the boot and cycle back.

Yes, that's what it is, appologies.
