MG Triumph Spares Day
Discussion
I have been to the MG spares show there for the last few years up till last year. Not overly huge but a fair few hall of stuff to browse and with not much else on this time of year, it's a day out.
Last year was the first to combine it with the Triumphs which was previously a week or two later. It was always a bit of a queue to get in on the road and busy enough inside when it was just one marque. With it now covering two shows I presumed it would be even worse so gave it a miss last year.
A couple of friends are going next week so I might go and see what it's like if I'm not working.

I've been to the Triumph day in the past, again when it was a one make show. I ended up buying a stainless exhaust system at a good discount at the end of the show which made the trip worthwhile. Another year I picked up a spare head at very reasonable money. Every year I have found the traders to be very helpful and generally happy to provide advice.
So, if you need some specific things it would probably be worth the effort. However, in the past it was pretty basic and certainly wasn't a family day out, unless your family like looking at piles of bits on the floor in a drafty hall!
I would echo the sentiment that it was pretty busy as a one make show.

don't be tempted to buy a cheap hood as usually that's what they are
I can recommend Don Hoods and have seen others also recommend them and Prestige
A real blast from the past, I dealt with Don Trimming for the best part of 20 years up until 2000 - and I see they are still at their original address.I can recommend Don Hoods and have seen others also recommend them and Prestige
Give Mark my regards if you go there, convertible hoods comparable with originals.
