That's me in. Now where do I get track day insurance for 30 minutes?
far more likely to have an accident on the way there..its a big safe circuit, good run off areas

For the parade lap at the Classic a couple of years ago I used these:http://www.moris.co.uk/
But there was 1,200, mainly novices, on the circuit - £38.50 with a £2.5k excess if it's relevant. It gave me the peace of mind in was looking for.

They'll explain a lot in the brief. Only 20 cars per session on a very large track, you should be alright to find your feet on your own. Give your mirrors a glance every now and then but don't get glued to them or you won't enjoy yourself. Perhaps consider a bit of instruction? I'm in two minds, you'll learn a lot but then won't be able to go out and practice it which could be a bit annoying.
Thanks for that - I shall pay attention! Keep an eye out for the Z4 Coupe.Pauly
Thinking of doing one of these for the first time - I have driven on track before quite a bit but not in my own car. Is the general consensus to go without insurance and just risk it? Is that what most people do? Track day insurance for 30 minutes seems a bit steep.
Any advice welcome - thanks.

All booked in for the 9:35 in my MX5. I've been on track a few times before but I thought this way I'd be less likely to be in the way.
Who else is in that session?
Did anyone see any mention of other drivers? I may let my brother drive instead.
I am thinking about signing up for this session also although a newbie, would be an E92 Monte Edition. Never driven silverstone so it looks exciting!Who else is in that session?

I really wish there was some way to be notified about Sunday Service events, you come back the day after an announcement and the lists are full Happened twice now.
Have a look the day before the announcementput your name down and hope for cancellations, surprising how many drop out at the death!
