That's me in. Now where do I get track day insurance for 30 minutes?
far more likely to have an accident on the way there..
its a big safe circuit, good run off areas
I know it's tempting but I've only got to get hit by someone else who is novice as well.....
Someone will be able to tow a few miles down the road I'd have thought?

Just booked the 9.00am session, thought with only 20 places a session they would have been sold out already. Why so few cars out together is it just the national circuit they are using or the full circuit?

For the parade lap at the Classic a couple of years ago I used these:

http://www.moris.co.uk/

But there was 1,200, mainly novices, on the circuit - £38.50 with a £2.5k excess if it's relevant. It gave me the peace of mind in was looking for.

They'll explain a lot in the brief. Only 20 cars per session on a very large track, you should be alright to find your feet on your own. Give your mirrors a glance every now and then but don't get glued to them or you won't enjoy yourself. Perhaps consider a bit of instruction? I'm in two minds, you'll learn a lot but then won't be able to go out and practice it which could be a bit annoying.
Thanks for that - I shall pay attention! Keep an eye out for the Z4 Coupe.

Which session are you in?

If you read the piece it says exactly that. It's the 1.6 mile National Circuit biggrin

Thinking of doing one of these for the first time - I have driven on track before quite a bit but not in my own car. Is the general consensus to go without insurance and just risk it? Is that what most people do? Track day insurance for 30 minutes seems a bit steep.
Any advice welcome - thanks.

Keep your eye on the list though as normally a lot of people do drop out.

I take it I have to remove my name from the list if I go for the track time?

Yes please. If you're going on track you don't need to reserve a space as you'll get one with your track time.

Although I'm in two minds about it! I've only taken hot hatches on track before and have this vision that I'll spray parts of my diff all over the track!

All booked in for the 9:35 in my MX5. I've been on track a few times before but I thought this way I'd be less likely to be in the way.

Who else is in that session?

Did anyone see any mention of other drivers? I may let my brother drive instead.

I am thinking about signing up for this session also although a newbie, would be an E92 Monte Edition. Never driven silverstone so it looks exciting!

I really wish there was some way to be notified about Sunday Service events, you come back the day after an announcement and the lists are full frown Happened twice now.
